Intellectual Property Licensing
What is an intellectual property license? A license gives a person or entity permission to use all or part of an intellectual property (software, movies, inventions, musical works, trademarks, and etc.) However, there are numerous questions that must be asked before you license or agree to a license involving intellectual property such as:

  • Is the license exclusive?
  • What are the specific terms of the license?
  • Can the license be sublicensed?
  • For how long is the license?
  • What happens should a party breach the agreement?

In addition to those above, there are many more questions that need to be answered and solidified in the licensing agreement. If you are considering creating or signing a license agreement, please contact us and find out how we can help ensure you are fully protected.
