Trademarks
A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol or design, or a combination of words,
phrases, symbols or designs, that identifies and distinguishes the source of the
goods of one party from those of others. A Service Mark is the same as a trademark,
except that it identifies and distinguishes the source of a service rather than
a product. A subset of trademarks are internet domain names which may and should
be obtained for any business who has a presence on the world wide web.
Trademarks are becoming more and more essential in today's market where many products
exist for every market niche. Branding your name into the mind of the consumer is
critical to expanding your market base. By filing a trademark filed in the United
States Patent and Trademark Office you will be entitled to stepped-up protection
and damages in case of infringement.

a foreign trademark application.
